New Zealand is an adventure paradise, with Queenstown being regarded as the Adventure Capital of the World, offering a variety of activities to suit all tastes. Throughout New Zealand you can choose from various water activites such as rafting, jet boating, kayaking and fishing, or if you would prefer a little more serenity, a steamboat trip on Lake Wakitipu might be more your style. Otherwise, take to the air with "fly by wire", bungy jumping, skydiving, hot air balloons or one of the various flights on offer. For land lovers, there is golf, 4WD tours, climbing or hiking to name a few. Or simply explore the many wonderful shops and restaurants within town and finish with a relaxing massage!
These are only a few of the great activities on offer... for more suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Glacier Walk
This is a wonderful glacier experience full of variety and interest. The guide will lead you up the river bed, to a track which zigzags uphill through ferns and regenerating temperate rainforest. From high on the track, you enjoy fantastic view of the glacier. The track then winds onto the ice, at which point you are outfitted with instep crampons and follow steps cut by the guide. The route takes you onto the ice amongst crevasses and ice ridges and leads you into the middle of the glacier for spectacular view of the icefall and lower glacier.

Skydiving

Imagine jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane, your heart pounding, the wind in your face, the ground far below, and all your instincts screaming "NO!" A tandem skydive is a must for all serious adrenalin junkies and couldn't be experienced in a more spectacular location than overlooking Queenstown and the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Rafting

New Zealand is renowned for it's white water, and two of the best rivers are here in Queenstown. The Shotover and the Kawarau rivers offer various trips, ranging from Class 2, up to Class 5 and incorporate amazing scenery with challenging white water. For the adrenalin junkies out there, a combination of rafting, bungy jumping, jet boating and a helicopter flight are all included in the "Awesome Foursome!"

Bungy Jumping

5..4..3..2..1..BUNGY! The famous Kawarau Bridge (43 meters) was the world's first bungy site, and is the only jump in Queenstown with the "water touch" option. There are several other bungy options availabe, the biggest being the jump over the Nevis River where you fall 134 meters in 8.4 seconds! Several bungy packages are available, enabling you to combine a jump with other exciting activities.

Paragliding

Ever wanted to fly like an eagle...? Running down the side of Bob's Peak until your canopy fills with wind and your feet lift off the ground - before you know it, you are soaring amongst the birds in the sky! Tandem flights are a safe and enjoyable way to experience your first paragliding flight.

Jetboats

New Zealand leads the world in Jetboat adventures, with various options available in Queenstown. Choose from the exhilarating canyon trips which travel through narrow gorges at speeds of up to 40mph in water less than 6 inches deep and are sure to get your adrenalin flowing. Or take a more scenic trip, travelling through the untouched wilderness surrounding Queenstown, passing by many filming sites for "Lord of the Rings".

Hot Air Balloon Flights

Ahh, the serenity! What better way to appreciate the awesome scenery of Queenstown and the Southern Alps than to fly in a hot air balloon! Balloon flights give you the unique sensation of floating with the breeze, enabling you to view this amazing region unhindered. Simply standing in an open basket, the wind in your hair and the sun in your face - a relaxing, quiet and peaceful way to fly over Queenstown with amazing photo opportunities. Why not indulge in a champagne-style breakfast in the field after your flight!

Funyaks

Funyaks are a fun and relaxing way to discover the magical wilderness of the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. The wild and scenic landscape of towering peaks, glaciers, rushing waters and ancient forests are an awe-inspiring and enriching experience. This region is rich in Maori and natural history and is expertly interpreted by friendly, professional guides.

Fishing

Fishing trips are a wonderful way to experience the outdoor beauty and tranquilty of the Queenstown region. Guided flyfishing trips venture to clear mountain streams and cater for all levels of experience. Alternatively, boat trips on Lake Wakitipu are another excellent option to try and catch a Rainbow Trout! All trips include equipment, and experienced local guides.

Wine Tours

The Queenstown region is fast gaining recognition for it's fine wine. Vineyard tours are available, and enable you to sample some of these award winning wines. As most of the vineyards are small by comparison to world standards, you are normally able to meet the wine makers!
