Swimming
with Dolphins |
|
The
dusky dolphins inhabit the coastal waters off Kaikoura all year round,
making Kaikoura a unique place in the world where wild dolphins can
be encountered every day, weather permitting. You can choose to get
in the water and swim with the dolphins, or remain on the boat and
watch the dolphins and witness any interaction between the dolphins
and swimmers. You are sometimes lucky enough to see other marine mammals
such as Orca (Killer Whales), Pilot Whales, New Zealand Fur Seals,
and Hector’s Dolphins. To read more about New Zealands dusky

| Overnight
Milford Sound Cruise |
|
We
board our luxury cruise vessel in the afternoon to begin our exploration
of Milford Sound. In the evening you can sea kayak, hike, or simply
relax on board the vessel and enjoy the majesty of this wonderful
place. Cruising overnight gives us the chance to enjoy the fiord
in peace, without the multitude of tourist boats. Glacier carved
hanging valleys, thick native forest, spectacular waterfalls and
sheer precipices tower over the fiord.

Kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park |
The
Abel Tasman National Park is the best place for sea kayaking in
the whole of New Zealand. You will get the choice of kayaking or
hiking during our two night stay in the Abel Tasman. Experience
the many aspects of the natural environment as you paddle along
the impressive and diverse coastline, past pristine white sandy
beaches and secluded bays. There's a good chance you'll see a seal
colony of some friendly dolphins!

| Glacier
Walk |
This
is a wonderful glacier experience full of variety and interest.
The guide will lead you up the river bed, to a track which zigzags
uphill through ferns and regenerating temperate rainforest. From
high on the track, you enjoy fantastic view of the glacier. The
track then winds onto the ice, at which point you are outfitted
with instep crampons and follow steps cut by the guide. The route
takes you onto the ice amongst crevasses and ice ridges and leads
you into the middle of the glacier for spectacular view of the icefall
and lower glacier.
