New
Zealand’s summer months are November to March, bringing
high temperatures and sunshine. Days are long and sunny, nights
are mild. Summer is an excellent time for hiking, swimming
with dolphins and exploring New Zealand's varied terrain.
New
Zealand’s winter months of June to September bring colder
weather to much of the country. While snow covers the mountain
ranges, most roads, towns and cities remain snow free. Many
of the countries most beautiful vistas are best seen during
the winter months. The Southern Alps provide some of the southern
hemisphere's best skiing and snowboarding. Winter is an excellent
time to visit areas of scenic beauty as these areas may experience
little rainfall in winter. |
