Some of the places we stay on the Best of the South Island tour include Te Wanaka Lodge (pictured below right) and on board the Milford Mariner (pictured below left). There simply is no better way to experience Milford Sound than an overnight cruise... when the hoards of day tourists have departed and only a couple boats are left on the sound for the night. You then get to truly take in the splendor of Milford Sound and the tranquility of this amazing place. Venture onto the water by sea kayak if you like, or simply relax on board the boat with a drink! |
