Sound Overnight Cruise & Kayaking |
|
We board our luxury cruise vessel in the afternoon to begin our exploration of Milford Sound. In the evening you can sea kayak, hike, or simply relax on board the vessel and enjoy the majesty of this wonderful place. Cruising overnight gives us the chance to enjoy the fiord in peace, without the multitude of tourist boats. Glacier carved hanging valleys, thick native forest, spectacular waterfalls and sheer precipices tower over the fiord.

| Glacier
Walk |
This
is a wonderful glacier experience full of variety and interest.
The guide will lead you up the river bed, to a track which zigzags
uphill through ferns and regenerating temperate rainforest. From
high on the track, you enjoy fantastic view of the glacier. The
track then winds onto the ice, at which point you are outfitted
with instep crampons and follow steps cut by the guide. The route
takes you onto the ice amongst crevasses and ice ridges and leads
you into the middle of the glacier for spectacular view of the icefall
and lower glacier.
